Vicki Watson, founder of ChristianCowgirl.net, has published the first book in her new Sonrise Stable series: Rosie and Scamper. The book, written to portray positive values, captures a young girl’s love for horses as she’s taught important life lessons by her beloved grandmother.
“It all began when a neighbor offered me my first ride on the back of her palomino Quarter Horse when I was 8 years old,” says Vicki. “Horses became a big part of my life and taught me many things about our relationship with God. My intent in writing Rosie and Scamper is to convey some of those lessons about God and horses to younger readers.”
Rosie and Scamper is a delightful story that’s sure to have a positive impact on any horse-crazy girl. The exciting dialog and fun illustrations throughout the book are a nice touch that will likely leave your young cowgirl asking for more. (And good news…Vicki is working on the second book in this series so your l’il cowgirl won’t need to wait for long!)
